Financial Controller

Wallter is a dynamic and innovative Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licensed by the Bank of Lithuania. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Vilnius and play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations.

This is what you’ll do:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports to the Bank of Lithuania.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure the company’s financial activities align with the requirements set by the Bank of Lithuania.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct regular financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize financial resources.

This is what you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of local financial regulations, especially reporting requirements to the Bank of Lithuania.
  • Solid understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
