Bookkeeper

Wallter is a top-tier fintech EMI (Electronic Money Institution) serving business clients, with offices in Lithuania, Romania, and Israel. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Bookkeeper to join our rapidly growing team in the Lithuanian office.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain full company accounting records.
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions, including bank balance reconciliations;
  • Recording and reconciliation of entries into the accounting system;
  • Be responsible for the invoice payment process;
  • Maintain the trial balance;
  • Accounts recording and reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions;
  • Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements;
  • Monitor any variances from the projected budget;
  • Provide support to the team and audit procedures;
  • Communicate with other departments;
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.

You’ll bring:

  • We are looking for a candidate with strong research and analytical skills, attention to the detail, high-level focus;
  • 2+ years’ experience as a bookkeeper in local GAAP;
  • Knowledge of Lithuanian GAAP and IFRS basics;
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken);
  • High-level Excel knowledge (such functions as Pivot and VLOOKUP – must);
  • Experience working in a professional environment (preferably at financial institutions);
  • Desire to take on new projects and challenges with enthusiasm;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to prioritize workload;
  • Bank reconciliation experience – must.
