We are seeking a Business Sales Officer, based in our Romanian office, who will be directly responsible for generating, promoting, and closing new business by selling Wallter’s financial services and products to corporate clients. This is a highly hands-on, self-organizing role focused exclusively on direct sales generation and revenue achievement, contributing significantly to Wallter’s global growth and success.
Role Overview
The Business Sales Officer is a key revenue generator who will personally execute all aspects of the sales process. This role requires a motivated, self-starting professional dedicated to prospecting, calling, and engaging clients to drive new business acquisition. You will be expected to independently own the full sales cycle – from initial contact and lead qualification to negotiation and final deal closure – while maintaining a consultative approach that consistently delivers value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect, call, and engage potential corporate clients through research, strategic outreach, networking, and direct cold/warm calling/emailing.
- Independently manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, detailed needs analysis, preparing tailored proposals, conducting presentations, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Present, promote, and sell Wallter’s financial products and payment solutions to key decision-makers (CFOs, treasurers, procurement) at corporate clients.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for account expansion.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Support, Marketing, Compliance) to ensure smooth client onboarding.
- Continuously monitor market trends to identify and act on new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and insights to management.
- Represent Wallter at industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management with a focus on direct sales generation (i.e., you were the person making the calls and closing the deals).
- Demonstrated success in prospecting and closing new business by selling financial, banking, or payment solutions to corporate clients.
- Strong understanding of financial products, corporate client needs, and industry trends (fintech, payments, FX knowledge is a strong plus).
- Great presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial concepts.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability for achieving sales targets.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
